Over the years, AmeriTitle has been committed to maintaining the American Land Title Association’s (ALTA) Title Insurance and Settlement Company Best Practices. During that time, we’ve implemented meaningful changes to our policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance. As a way to provide our lender clients and consumers with an added layer of protection, we elected to undertake an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Service Organization Control Reports (SOC) audit.
In July 2016, AmeriTitle received certification for successfully completing the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 exam. The SSAE 16 is an industry-recognized auditing standard instituted by the AICPA. Settlement service companies that receive SSAE 16 certification have been attested by an independent third party CPA firm to the soundness of their information technology and network security, operational procedures, and risk assessment control activities and objectives in protecting consumer data.
In addition to receiving SSAE 16 certification, AmeriTitle received ALTA Best Practices certification.
